This antique box is so rare and just beautiful. I believe it’s covered with a combination of celluloid and paper in vibrant shades of green, red and brown. It has an antique brass clasp that works nicely. It opens to a pale blue fabric lining. As it is an early piece it is missing some of it’s paper along corners, but it’s barely noticeable because it blends in. The front has a beautiful snow cottage scene framed with a fancy embossed gold trim and the top also has a separate floral design also framed with a fancy embossed gold trim. It measures 6 ½” tall by 8” wide without the base 8 ¾” with the base by 3” deep without the base and 4” deep to include the base.
