This outstanding early and rare Easter Rabbit candy container and passenger is absolutely outstanding and German made for sure.  The rabbit is crafted from amber-colored brushed fabric, with glass amber eyes and a carrot in its mouth. Its head lifts to reveal a hidden candy compartment.
 
Riding atop the rabbit is a bisque-faced child with blue glass eyes and brown hair, dressed in his Easter finest, blue pants, a white shirt, and a pink vest with blue silk buttons. His outfit shows some soiling consistent with its age.  On his back rests a colorful wicker basket containing a spun cotton egg, which can be removed and replaced if desired. 
 
The child features posable wired arms, one of which holds a wired and posable pussy willow branch, on it is a green and yellow striped caterpillar—an adorably detailed touch!  Measuring 9 inches in length and 10.5 inches tall, this special Easter display is a rare and desirable piece.  You'll never see another one like it!
