This is a desirable German Christmas collectible of a nodding reindeer and yellow coat Santa ca. 1920. It’s a wonderful example. The reindeer is made of grey brushed plush and is on wheels complete with original saddle and bridle. The best part is that he is a Nodder! The Santa is dressed in a low pile flaxen-yellow plush Santa suite with collar and hat. His beard is made of fur and he is holding what once was a feather tree sprig, which along his travels, has lost its feather. His boots are painted black with mica snow on them. The reindeer measures 9” in length and 6 ¼” tall. With the santa, it measures 11 ½” tall. A wonderful early collectible piece.
