This is an original antique mariner’s outfit. It comes in two pieces with a jacket over dress. The jacket is made of navy-blue duck cotton with a white ribbed collar tied at the end. The dress has a matching white ribbed bodice, decorated with a nautical type pin and a pleated navy-blue hem. It comes with an antique wool cap that although not original to the dress, compliments it nicely. It’s decorated with three brass anchor buttons, a white duck cotton strip with a red silk pompom on the top and a bow at the back. It’s a lovely ensemble that measures approximately 4.5” across the shoulders (seam to seam), 10” in length, with 4.25” cuff openings. The cap has an 11” circumference. Best suited for a doll measuring around 14–15 inches. The cap is being displayed on a 14” doll.
